NRC: RECEIPT OF APPLICATION FORM HAS STARTED ACROSS ASSAM

The time has come for YOU – the PUBLIC OF ASSAM to come out in great strength and claim your legacy.The latest count of people obtaining the Legacy Data Code until June 22th, 2015 from NSK is 5,037,749 and 5,724,076 online download as on June 23th, 2015.

 

‘Distribution of Application Form’ and ‘Receipt of Application Form’ has started all over Assam. Please start collecting your Legacy Data Code from any NSK or you can download it online. The descendants require to start collecting their linkage documents for inclusion in the Updated NRC. We would also like to inform you that Legacy Data Search and issue of Legacy Data Code at NSKs or Online are completely free of cost.
Even in case you do not find the required name in the Legacy Data, inclusion in updated NRC can still be possible through any of the following documents:

Land & Tenancy Records (up to midnight of 24th March, 1971)
OR
Citizenship Certificate (up to midnight of 24th March, 1971)
OR
Permanent Residential Certificate (up to midnight of 24th March, 1971)
OR
Refugee Registration Certificate (up to midnight of 24th March, 1971)
OR
Passport (up to midnight of 24th March, 1971)
OR
LIC (up to midnight of 24th March, 1971)
OR
Any Govt. issued License/Certificate (up to midnight of 24th March, 1971)
OR
Govt. Service/Employment Certificate (up to midnight of 24th March, 1971)
OR
Bank/Post Office Accounts (up to midnight of 24th March, 1971)
OR
Birth Certificate (up to midnight of 24th March, 1971)
OR
Board/University Educational Certificate (up to midnight of 24th March, 1971)
OR
Court Records/Processes (up to midnight of 24th March, 1971)

     In addition, the following two documents will be used as supporting documents: (1) Circle Officer/GP Secretary Certificate in respect of married women migrating after marriage (not mandatory) and (2) Ration Card issued up to the midnight of 24th March, 1971.

CRUCIAL INFROMATION YOU SHOULD KNOW!

1. Even in cases where names, age etc. are wrongly spelt in 1951 NRC or in Electoral Rolls up to 1971, there would be ample scope for citizens to prove their linkage with the correct person during Field Verification.
2. Admissible documents of ANY PERIOD up to midnight of 24th March, 1971 shall be enough to prove eligibility for inclusion in updated NRC. Rumours about requirement of documents only of pre-1966 period are baseless.
3. "D" voters were identified only after 1997. As such, there are no "D" voters in Legacy Data. Any "D" appearing in any Legacy Data image shall not be treated as reference to "D" voters.
